Transforming Communities Through Sustainability

Empowering West Linton for a Greener Tomorrow

Join us in promoting environmental initiatives, community engagement, and education for a more sustainable future.

Discover Our Journey So Far

Sustainable West Linton and District is a community-driven charity focused on promoting environmental stewardship and self-reliance in our Scottish village and surrounding areas.

Our mission is to empower residents to adopt sustainable practices that benefit both the local environment and household budgets.

We are planting new community woodlands and orchards to provide fresh, local produce and habitat for wildlife. We also conduct home energy assessments and advise residents on installing solar panels to reduce energy costs and carbon footprints. Additionally, we build and maintain bee hives and bird boxes to support critical pollinator and bird populations.

By cultivating green spaces, reducing energy use, and protecting biodiversity, SWLTD aims to create a more environmentally-conscious and self-sufficient community for all who call West Linton and District home.
